I eat footwear. It’s ridiculous. My ability to destroy shoes in one season hasn’t lessened since childhood, if anything it’s gotten worse: and now I’m even pickier.
I also don’t like most of the winter boots I find. They either don’t fit right, aren’t warm enough or don’t stay waterproof for the duration of my walk.
Enter the KEEN Durand Polar Outdoor Boot.
I haven’t tested these on icy city streets yet, but these KEENs are quite nice if you’re tromping through a soggy, frozen marsh or woods. The grip and lack of torque in the sole might become a problem, but these are comfortable, warm and waterproof.
Waterproof enough that I had to wade through a stream multiple times on my walk, and while the boots were soaked through when I took them off I felt comfortable and warm while wearing them for the duration of my walk.
(This was in weather that was wet and in the high-30s.)
